The Alabama Industries for the Blind (AIB) is one component of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). AIB includes the manufacturing facility in Talladega, Alabama and Birmingham, Alabama along with the operations of five Base Supply Centers in two states, which are located on Redstone Arsenal, Fort Novosel, Anniston Army Depot, Robins Air Force Base and Moody Air Force Base.

ABOUT THE
ROLEThe Training Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning and coordinating training of production operations assigned to the production team.
ABOUT YOUYou will play a vital role in coordinating, organizing, and scheduling training for all of the production team within the manufacturing facilities.
This position reports to the Plant Engineer, AIB.BASIC
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate
- Minimum four (4) years of textile sewing experience
- Minimum one (1) year experience providing training in cut and sew operations
- Must demonstrate competence with the following to include thread needle and loading bobbinsSingle Needle Sew MachineDouble Needle Sew MachineProgrammable Sew Machine
- Basic knowledge of modern manufacturing practices with specific knowledge and expertise in modern cut and sew operation
- Must demonstrate specific knowledge and skills in the ability to train employees to meet their highest potential on specific production operations.
This may include people with a disability that are visually impaired, blind, deaf, and/or deaf/blind or has another significant disability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with individuals that areDeaf, Blind, DeafBlind, multidisabled or has another significant disability

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must follow AIDB policies and procedures.
