Production Workers Position Available In Winston, Alabama

Various production positions available, including

• Assembler/Builder
• Assistant Operator
• Feeder
• Layup

• Material PrepWhat you will do:
• Can include the following:
• Placing correct components including stile and rails into the glue spreader machine
• Assemble and set up components for layup feeder so that the doors can be pressed as per SOPs
• Work alongside with other layup members
• Performs general housekeeping duties and ensures work area is kept clean
• Loading all lines as per the production requirements. (Architect, Edge, Face, 990, Cut Out
• Staging and organizing incoming product to the department to maximize flow
• Removing machined product from the lines and stage for shipping
• Keep raw materials and packaging materials stocked, as necessary
• Assist in finishing and packaging of completed units
• Along with co-worker, feed doors coming into Trimsaw
• Grab proper pallet for doors to be stacked on
• Assist in repair during downtime
• Any other task assigned by the Supervisor
• Set up and stage saw by scanning tickets barcodes (line item on order) into computer
• Determines how to set-up/adjust guides on saw to maintain margins for build
• Make manual adjustments when necessary to meet or hold tolerances
• Test door set-up and barcode printer
• Run orders
• Change trim blades, sanding belts, etc
• Calibrate the trimsaw
• Perform regular quality checks and measurements per order # line # before and after door sizing
• Verify accuracy and legibility of jeta mark print
• Perform TPM functionsWhat you will need
• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
• Must read and write English
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Can include the following:
• Basic Masterpak knowledge
• Ability to read schedule
• Good product knowledge and knowledge of door specifications
• High level of concentration and some attention to detail
• Ability to keep up with fast pace with moderate to high heavy lifting and repetition
• Ability to read production schedule and tickets
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Physical ability to lift heavy doors
• Lockout/tagout certified (training will be done on site
• Strong aptitude in measurement calculations and mechanical workings
• Knowledge of all aspect of the trimsaw machine, including maintenance, blade changes, mechanical understanding, printer maintenance, order tracking process, door/ customer quality specs, door types, core types, Masterpack, knowledge of other positions including feeding the saw and catching the doors
• Operate computer controlled trimsaw
• Retain high level of information
• Perform quality checks
• Safety checks including guards and tooling, tooling changes and sanding belt changes
• Use multiple hand tools including wrenches, mallet Ability to work with little to no supervision
