Job Description
Production Worker (Cellar Person) Brewery Legitimus 283 Main Street, New Hartford, CT 06057 Production Worker / Cellar Person Brewery Legitimus, located in New Hartford, CT, is seeking a passionate, detail orientated team member to join our team as we expand distribution. We currently have an opening for an entry level Cellar Person. This position will report directly to the Brewer. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn all aspects of beer production, including CIP procedures, safety, packaging, yeast harvesting, wort production, and QA/QC. The Cellar Person will be responsible for performing a variety of cellaring and brewhouse operations tasks including but not limited to: Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment as assigned Assists with warehousing, including receiving shipments and inventorying materials Assists with packaging including canning, keg filling, bottle filling and keg washing Performs general warehousing work, organization of cold storage, grain and materials handling
- Performs transfers of beer in the cellar
- Assists with dry hopping and yeast management Follows SOPs to perform CIPs of brewhouse equipment Follows all safety and production SOPs Maintains accurate logs of information Additional duties and support of co-workers as needed
Tools & Equipment Used:
Brewery equipment, Pallet Jack, Forklift, Scissor Lift
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 21 years or older Must have the physical strength and endurance to be able to perform physical job duties Required to frequently lift and move 10-100 pounds
- Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls
- May be required to work weekend and overnight shifts on occasion as needed

- Must be able to work well both independently and in a team environment Previous cellaring, manufacturing, production and/or warehousing experience is a plus but is not required Ability to work 32-40 hours and a flexible schedule as needed Strong work ethic, punctuality and professional attitude A passionate desire to learn about the brewing process Willingness to help in other areas of the business as needed Ability to complete simple math calculations

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour
