Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to assist the Line Lead with changeovers and start-ups. You will be responsible for staging and loading raw materials, ensuring their integrity and maintaining a smooth flow without interruptions. The role also involves auxiliary work such as bagging, drying, grinding, and tooling, as well as identifying tasks that require attention during downtime. Responsibilities Assist the Line Lead with changeovers and start-ups. Stage and load raw materials while maintaining their integrity. Ensure uninterrupted flow of raw materials. Perform auxiliary tasks such as bagging, drying, grinding, and tooling. Identify and attend to tasks during downtime. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Proficiency in using hand and power tools Basic math skills Ability to operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines Experience in machine operation and general production Capability to perform inspections and measurements using tape measure Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to successfully complete Machine Operator training within 3 months of hire Bilingual skills are advantageous Why Work Here? Experience ample growth opportunities in your career. Work Environment This role requires working the second shift, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM or potentially from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. You must be comfortable wearing PPE on your face and/or arms for extended periods. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pawcatuck, Connecticut. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 – $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
