In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend sheet metal and other materials according to specifications. Attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts per blueprints, drawings, and specifications Select proper tooling based on material type, thickness, and bend requirements Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and production schedules Inspect parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measure Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary for material or design changes Maintain clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines Assist in other departments when needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 3+ year of experience operating a press brake Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Strong understanding of metal fabrication and sheet metal forming Experience with thin gauge materials is a plus Familiarity with precision measuring tools Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
