Full Job Description Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced and dependable Lead Seamstress / Sewing Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our production space. This is a hands-on role for someone with extensive sewing knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of garment construction and sewing machines.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a small team of seamstresses to ensure efficient and high-quality production Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial sewing machines (overlock, coverstitch, straight stitch, etc.) Monitor and manage inventory of materials (needles, threads, bobbins, etc.) Ensure machines are functioning properly and schedule maintenance when needed Create, read, and adjust patterns as necessary Jump in on production when needed to meet tight deadlines Ensure quality control across all garments produced Act as the point person between the design team and production staff

Requirements:

10+ years of professional sewing experience Strong understanding of various sewing machines and garment construction techniques Pattern-making experience is required Must speak English clearly and comfortably Previous team leadership or management experience is a plus Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
