JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees within your designated work center. Accountable to the Assistant/Production Managers for the timely completion and quality control of HVAC manufactured products. Must have the ability to establish production procedures to ensure you meet or exceed company goals.
RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure the proper equipment training and training documentation of all personnel within your designated work center. Ensure the proper safety training of all personnel within your designated work center. Hold employees accountable for meeting established production goals. Maintain excellent quality control of all items produced within your work center. Encourage effective communications between all production personnel and management. Report and investigate all injuries/near-misses. Coordinate with the HR/Safety Manager all items pertaining to safety, employee performance and employment related issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant/Production Managers.
EXPECTATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS 2
years of manufacturing experience. 2 + years leadership/management experience. Lean Manufacturing training – a plus Experience with 5S a plus A Plus working knowledge of HVAC production equipment, to include Sheet Metal Roll Forming Machine, Punch Presses, Rivet Machines, and more. Excellent math skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills Must be goal oriented.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must lift and carry up to 40 lbs weight short distances, at frequent intervals. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time. Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
