JOB PURPOSE

This role focuses on maintaining and improving manufacturing machines and equipment, with an emphasis on increasing uptime and enhancing efficiency through automation and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electronics, troubleshooting, but also possesses the ability and desire to solve problems at a higher level. The role works closely with IT support and infrastructure, manufacturing engineers, facilities maintenance teams, and other departments, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. RESPONSIBILITY

Implement a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to transform maintenance operations. Assess and repair existing manufacturing machinery as needed. Analyze machine lifecycles and downtime to propose maintenance and replacement schedules. Integrate PLC systems or custom data acquisition to track machine uptime and usage accurately. Deploy an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) system to optimize performance tracking. Upgrade or replace existing machinery with more automated and efficient tools. Maintain and repair equipment such as RF Welders, CNC Fabric Cutters, and Hot Air Welders. Collaborate with Production Engineering, IT, and management teams to identify efficiency improvements. Research and propose new machine acquisitions that leverage advancements in AI, machine vision, robotics, and cobots. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Cannot be debarred under ITAR or EAR regulations. Commitment to staying updated on evolving technologies Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Background in manufacturing, automation, or robotics. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills in electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
