Job Description:
As a Production Assistant at Lings Dumplings, you will be creating delicious and authentic Asian dishes while upholding the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing an assortment of dumpling fillings and doughs as well as forming the dumplings.
- Operating a specialty industrial dumpling forming machine
- Ensure that each dish meets our standards for taste, texture, and visual appeal.
- Manage and maintain the freshness and quality of ingredients used in the kitchen.
- Follow rigorous sanitation and food safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen station.
- Oversee and coordinate daily production activities in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure that production goals and targets are met or exceeded
- Supervise and train production staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality control and efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production schedules and workflow
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen experience.
- An understanding of Asian flavors and cooking techniques
- Ability manage time and be efficient.
- Effective communication skills and a strong team player mindset.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a production or manufacturing setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems and software related to production management
