Ironworker/Welder Sunshine Steel LLC Orlando, FL 32835 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures and frameworks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work effectively in various environments. Duties Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand tools and machinery. Install structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other metal frameworks on construction sites. Utilize micrometers and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy in measurements. Operate forklifts to transport materials safely around the construction site. Execute stick welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques to join metal parts securely. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools, machinery, and welding equipment. Familiarity with machining processes is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent physical stamina and strength; ability to lift heavy materials as needed. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices on construction sites. A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation to various job sites.
