Production Worker Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Production Worker, where you will play a crucial role in the Mattress Assembly, Material Handling, or Quilting departments. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that high-quality mattresses are produced efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Work in teams of two to apply glue and foam to build the insides of mattresses according to provided specifications. Assemble mattresses using a variety of hand and power tools such as c-ring hog-ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns. Layer foam on top of coil units and apply proper upholstery layers, including foam encasing, to finalize mattress assembly. Inspect mattress components and finished units for flaws or structural defects. Operate sewing machines to sew fabrics, create pillow tops, and ensure precise cutting and measuring of materials in the Quilting department. Use push carts to move materials to be staged following the quilting process, preparing them for the next assembly step. Review work instructions and transport materials around the production area. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience using hand tools and general assembly. Experience working in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Capability to follow work instructions and review work orders for accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment is preferred. Experience with sewing machines and quality check processes is advantageous. Flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts and most Saturdays during high season. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing plant focused on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Employees work Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts during peak seasons. Shifts start as early as 5 am and can extend up to 12 hours, offering opportunities for overtime. The facility provides a clean, safe workspace, although it involves physical demands like prolonged standing, bending, and lifting. Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company. The environment includes exposure to high noise levels, hot raw materials, and limited chemicals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Riviera Beach, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $17.00/hr.
