This role includes managing grant funding, supporting curriculum development, facilitating industry partnerships, and promoting advanced manufacturing, automation, and digital transformation technologies. The specialist ensures that students, faculty, and industry partners have access to cutting-edge resources, hands-on learning, and workforce development initiatives. Manufacturing, Production & Automation Lead The Manufacturing, Production & Automation Lead is responsible for the instruction, enrollment growth, and promotion of Industry 4.0 Lab courses at St. Petersburg College Midtown Campus. This position plays a vital role in delivering hands-on learning experiences, expanding student engagement, and enhancing workforce training programs focused on advanced manufacturing, automation, and smart factory technologies. The Lead Coordinator will collaborate with faculty, industry partners to develop curriculum, recruit students, and showcase lab capabilities.

Education & Experience:
Required:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing engineering , Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field .

Preferred:

Experience in higher education, workforce training, or industry instruction. Minimum 4 years of experience in advanced manufacturing, automation, or Industry 4.0 technologies. Teaching experience or professional training experience preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills:

Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, PLC programming, IoT, AI in manufacturing, digital twins, and smart factories . Experience with CAD software, manufacturing simulation tools, and learning management systems (LMS) . Strong understanding of enrollment growth strategies, marketing principles, and student recruitment .

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, faculty, and industry partners. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments. Passion for technology-driven education, hands-on learning, and workforce development.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$59,309.00 – $74,137.00 per year
