Our adaptive seating and positioning components are individually designed and fit for our clients who require wheelchairs in their daily living. A position is available for an individual with basic woodworking skills and finishing of wood and plastic based components. Must have previous work experience with hand tools.
Work Time:
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Works with wood or plastic components cut out and partially finished on a CNC machine, (computerized router). Applies threaded inserts (T nuts) as indicated in the pattern on the fabricated component using the mechanical applicator. Applies layers of specified type of foam and or gel inserts as indicated. Place completed parts in basket and enter data in the computer – in appropriate area of the record. Inspects work completed and fill out inspection sheet. Records time taken for entire job onto the daily production sheet and take basket to next assigned area. Assist with other assignments which will help the fabrication department function as needed.
