Production Worker Position Available In Pinellas, Florida

Production Worker Greek Boys Choice, Inc Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 Job Description – Food Production Worker Greek Boys Choice Foods, Inc. is a family-owned business importing and manufacturing food products for a variety of needs including grocery and restaurants.

Production Essential Duties:

• Preparation of spices and sauces following standard recipes and portion controls.
• Duties include receiving food items, storing food properly, operating food processing equipment, maintaining supplies, mixing ingredients, and assessing food items quality.
• Ensure the presence, accuracy, and legibility of lot code information and all other required information on finished goods
• Ensure that all food safety, quality assurance, and GMP policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Assist with clean-up of kitchen, pack area and other areas as directed.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Experience:

• Must be a responsible individual who can work alone and follow directions of others as required
• Pallet Jack experience preferred
• Ability to regularly lift approximately 25 lbs across a 4-8 hour span
• Some mechanical knowledge/skills preferred
• Food handler certification preferred Working Condition & Physical Requirements
• Safely operate pallet moving equipment such as pallet jack
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his/her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
• Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 60 pounds occasionally
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, ladders, step stool and box cutters. It’s a bonus if you bring:
• Food Service Manager Certification
• Knowledge of VFFS, Rotary Filler, Piston Filler, Label and date equipment, date coders and other packing equipment.
