Job Description
Metallurgical Lab Technician Job Description The Metallurgical Lab Technician is responsible for the preparation and analysis of raw materials which focus on clay samples that are processed and broken down for testing. Currently this location produces fertilizer, sulfuric acid, electrical power, phosphoric acid & fluoridation ingredient, sulfur and participates in finished product port activities. Transportation for outgoing products include Truck, Rail and Ship.
Responsibilities:
Break down clay samples for processing. Operate and maintain various laboratory equipment (core washer, flotation machines etc.). Perform processing and testing procedures on core samples. Work with chemicals and reagents. Conduct minor testing on products such as Titrations, UV-Vis and other acid-based testing.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Manufacturing or production experience is preferred. 1-2 years of experience working in a lab environment is preferred. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday (6am – 2pm)
Pay:
$20/hr
