As a Screen Setup Specialist, youll master the art and science of screen preparation, from reclaim to exposure, and help set the standard for consistency, accuracy, and quality. Youll start with a sharp focus on screenmaking, and over time, grow into broader pressroom functions including operating equipment, supporting press runs, and leading improvements.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Reclaim and Frame Prep
  • Reclaim used screens and remove tape, emulsion, and haze residue
  • Degrease and prep frames for new mesh
  • Tension and adhere mesh to frames with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain clean, organized reclaim and drying areas
  • 2. Stencil Application and Exposure

  • Select and apply emulsion based on job specs
  • Align film, expose, rinse, and inspect screens for accuracy
  • Block out, tape, and inspect for pinholes
  • Maintain stencil integrity and prevent rework before press
  • 3. Maintenance and Material Management

  • Keep equipment clean and functional including exposure units and washout booths
  • Monitor chemical levels and reorder supplies proactively
  • Safely store and handle all screen chemicals per safety guidelines
  • Track screen usage, organize storage, and ensure proper labeling
  • 4. Cross-Training and Printroom Support
