Roll Clamp Operator Match Staffing Savannah, GA 31405 Job Overview The Roll Clamp Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a roll clamp forklift to handle, transport, and load/unload various materials, steel or lumber. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Operate roll clamp forklifts to move, stack, and store material in designated areas.
Loading/Unloading:
Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on roll clamp equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of materials.
Independent Work:
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks effectively while adhering to company policies and procedures.
