Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Systems Integration Specialist to join our Systems Engineering team. This role will act as a key liaison between our Mendix application development, shop floor operations, and the Lean/FEM teams. This role is crucial in aligning operational needs with Mendix applications on the shop floor, enabling our team to maximize efficiency, traceability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Liaison:
Serve as the primary link between the Mendix application team, production, and Lean/FEM teams. Translate operational needs into system requirements, ensuring that enhancements to the Mendix platform align with business objectives.
Operations and Production:
Work closely with operations team to identify system improvements and promote engagement. Support teams in using Mendix in real time, helping reinforce best practices and working to build accountability.
Process Optimization:
Work with Lean/FEM teams to identify and implement process improvements through the Mendix application, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Identify how Mendix can be configured to streamline tasks like quality inspections and material flow.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor and analyze run-time and quality inspection data captured in Mendix, providing insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making. Highlight trends and help drive corrective actions. Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of system updated and identify opportunities for improvement.
User Support & Training:
Act as a point of contact for shop floor operators, providing training and support on the application’s functionalities and best practices. Lead training sessions, oversee competency assessments, and contribute to the onboarding of new employees ensuring they are confident with their roles within the system.
Problem Solving:
Collaborate with Mendix developers to prioritize enhancements and test solutions prior to deployment. Use knowledge of system to recommend design or workflow changes to reduce user resistance.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate documentation of application workflows, user guides, and any process changes for internal and operator reference. Ensure that documents stay up to date with the latest system updates and changes.
Qualifications:
Experience with Mendix or similar low code platforms is a strong plus. Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and FEM principles. Strong analytical skills and a process oriented mindset. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with shop floor data tracking and quality management systems. Experience in leading training sessions and providing user support. Knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
