This role is responsible for designing and preparing artwork for traffic signs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and assisting with the digital print production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for layout, color, and typography, as well as experience working with large-format printers and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and layout traffic signage artwork based on MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) standards and client specifications. Prepare and format artwork for digital printing, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and print-readiness. Operate digital printing equipment, including large-format printers, plotters, and laminators. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate output of signage. Maintain organized digital files and version control for all artwork. Assist in developing templates and design systems for recurring signage needs. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and printing technologies.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in print production or signage design, preferably in a traffic or industrial setting. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software. Familiarity with digital printing processes and file preparation (CMYK, bleed, resolution, etc.). Knowledge of traffic signage standards and materials is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience with RIP software and large-format printing workflows. Understanding of reflective materials and overlays used in traffic signage. Basic knowledge of vector graphics and CAD tools.
