PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a Senior Console Operator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll monitor and manage production control incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and support daily operational procedures to maintain service levels in our 24×7 environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, minimize disruptions, and provide vital support to both internal teams and external customers.

• Key Responsibilities:

• + •Monitor and Respond to

Alerts:

• Continuously monitor the production environment, identify system alerts, and take action to ensure uninterrupted operations. +

• Incident Support:

• Provide timely and effective incident support, including communications, trending, tracking, and documentation in the trouble ticketing system. +

• Collaboration & Troubleshooting:

• Work closely with Information Services (I.S.) teams, infrastructure vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve production incidents and perform troubleshooting. +

• Change Control Management:

• Administer and support basic change control procedures to maintain system stability and adhere to change control guidelines. +

• Customer Support:

• Deliver top-notch support to both internal and external customers, ensuring effective issue resolution and clear communication. +

• Scheduled Operations:

• Implement production system schedule changes and ensure all processes are completed according to established procedures.

• Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred. +

• Technical Expertise:

• + Intermediate proficiency in Z/OS, DB2, Tivoli, Web Sphere, TCP/IP, TSO, MVS/JCL, VTAM, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). + Understanding of WAN/LAN networks, routing fundamentals, and transmission principles. + Ability to troubleshoot issues with switches, routers, and servers. + Knowledge of Windows, Linux, MQ, and network operations. +

• Experience:

• + Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network/server incidents. + Prior experience working with Help Desk teams to resolve incidents is highly beneficial. +

• Soft Skills:

• + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. + Customer-focused with the ability to explain and interpret complex technical issues.
