PERFORMANCE SUMMARY
The production assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the leadership and production team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the leadership team with any administrative tasks. Purchasing negotiations for cost savings and continuous improvement. Assist with production scheduling. Perform purchasing functions for plant operations. Manages raw material forecasting, ordering, and deliveries. Compiling, extracting data and generating reports as needed. Provide backup support for other office associates. Be able to work with confidential information in a professional manner. Administer and provide support in continuous improvement activities. Performs random and month-end material cycle counts. Adequately maintain and organize safety and office supplies. Assist leadership with customer visit preparation. Assist in execution of wellness and safety-related events or projects. Must become knowledgeable of associates and plant operations to perform administrative procedures properly, recognize irregularities, and prevent errors.
EXPERIENCE
Purchasing and sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment. SAP experience.
EDUCATION
2 year college degree preferred.
