Factory Production Detailer is an experienced, motivated, and highly skilled individual capable of managing and overseeing all aspects of production files for rainscreen systems & Framecad CFS components, ensuring that fabrication and installation processes align with design intent and project specifications. The Factory Production Detailer has a strong knowledge of rainscreen systems and Cold Formed Steel Assemblies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results while maintaining safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary – Rainscreen Systems Secondary –

Framecad Systems Production File Oversight:

Manage and oversee all production files related to the fabrication of rainscreen and Framecad parts, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, and in alignment with project specifications, shop drawings & Engineering.

Production Drawing Development:

Create detailed production drawings for rainscreen and Framecad systems using information from various sources, including architectural designs, approved submittals, shop drawings, Engineering, field measurements, and client specifications.

Material Lists & Documentation:

Develop cut lists, miscellaneous material lists, and release documents for the full delivery of the rainscreen and Framecad system(s), ensuring the correct materials are procured and delivered on time.

Field Condition Solutions:

Identify and develop solutions for unique or challenging field conditions, ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout the fabrication, assembly and installation process.

Coordination Implementation:

Interpret field measurements, including those taken by hand or using laser scanning and BIM Coordination to develop accurate and functional production drawings.

Schedule Management:

Adhere to schedule deliverables, ensuring timely completion of production files and drawings to meet project timelines.

Expert Knowledge of Rainscreen Systems:

Apply in-depth knowledge of Rainscreen systems to ensure that designs, drawings, and production processes meet quality and performance standards.

Expert Knowledge of Framecad Systems:

Apply in-depth knowledge of Cold Formed Steel Framing and Framecad systems to ensure that designs, drawings, and production processes meet quality and performance standards.

Factory Support:

Assist the factory with the interpretation of production drawings and files, ensuring that designs are accurately followed during the fabrication process.

Project Design Assistance:

Provide input and support during the design phase of projects, ensuring that designs are viable from a production and fabrication standpoint.

QAQC Inspections:

Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) inspections to ensure that design documents meet specifications and comply with relevant standards.

Training & Development:

Help train new and existing employees in the production detailing process, ensuring the team is up to date on the best practices and workflows.

Continuous Education & R D:

Contribute to Forge’s ongoing education efforts and research & development initiatives to keep the team at the cutting edge of rainscreen technology, Framecad roll forming and assemblies and fabrication methods.

Leadership:

Lead by example in maintaining a professional, productive, and collaborative work environment.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with safety standards by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe work practices.

Proactively address challenges, providing effective solutions to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Product & Manufacturing Knowledge:

Learn and understand Forge’s product offerings and manufacturing workflow to improve productivity and ensure quality standards are met.

Software Use:

Work within Forge’s design and management software to produce accurate drawings and documentation.

Qualifications:
Education:

Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. Certification in detailing or drafting is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in rainscreen detailing or a similar role in the construction or fabrication industry. Strong understanding of ACM and other rainscreen systems. Proficient with CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other design tools.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong math skills, including proficiency with fractions, geometry, and measurements. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges in the field or design. Knowledge of QAQC processes and standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams. Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. A professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to adapt to new technology and work within specialized design software.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and follow safety guidelines at all times.
