Production Department Associate 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars 2637 White Sulphur Road NE, Gainesville, GA 30501 Job title Unracker/ Processor Associate Position Status Non-Exempt Typical Work Hours 3PM to 11:30PM and 11PM to 7:30AM minimum 40 hours per week (hours may be adjusted based on the needs of the plant)
Job Summary:
Position will work in the Production Department operating machinery and various equipment to manufacture pet treats.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Check Boxes or bins of various products as they are delivered and organized. Operates Conveyor and processing machinery for packing product. Physically inspect, prepare, and pack product. Place finished goods in designated areas Track production on schedule boards Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Performs other related duties and assignments as required All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
Skills & Attributes:
Food manufacturing industry experience is required Ability to conduct work duties and responsibilities productively. Ability to perform basic mathematics Understand the basic principles of inventory Adapt to varied work environments, flexibility; ability to work cooperatively Warehouse, electric forklift, and pallet jack experience preferred but not required Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of this position complying with all policies or regulations set forth by BCF or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicles, handling of food products, packing, ingredients, and related items
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time The employee will work near or with moving mechanical parts Moderate physical labor (regularity lift 25 or 50 lbs. or more.) Heavy lifting Ability to push and pull pallets with manual pallet jack.
