Position Overview Blind Stitch 1 sews bottom hem or side hem on all custom draperies with a blue or white belt machine. What you’ll do Remove draperies from rack onto blue belt machine Blue belt machine is operated by the employee Make minor adjustments for correct stitch for all fabrics Hem work according to the work ticket on racks Review work tickets for any special hemming instructions Notify mechanic of any major problems with machine Clean and oil machine daily Work closely with racker giving them information on direction Report production standard daily Make supervisor aware of any work-related problems that occur Pinning fold down the width of drapes, on sheers Perform other duties as assigned Who you are High school graduate Sewing experience, including use of industrial sewing machines Ability to use and read a tape measure General knowledge of fabrics Ability to use hand tools Must successfully pass a color blindness test Accuracy with names, numbers, and spelling Capable of standing for extended periods of time Capable of lifting on a continuous basis Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions What’s in it for you?
