Production Control Specialist HL Mando America Corp 955 Meriwether Park Dr, Hogansville, GA 30230
Job Purpose:
The Production Control Specialist will participate in daily production control management tasks such as ordering parts, inventory management, establishing daily production plans, and progress management. Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): Production Planning & Material Coordination Create, update, and manage planning spreadsheets, including formulas and logic. Reconcile discrepancies between actual vs. system inventory data. Develop and issue daily production schedules for each assigned work center. Coordinate and schedule finished goods shipments to meet customer demand and delivery dates. Investigate and resolve inventory or material discrepancies impacting production or shipment. Maintain effective cross-shift and cross-functional communication to support continuous operations. Prepare and maintain accurate production documentation and reports. Track and confirm delivery schedules, and ensure timely completion through follow-up. Respond to production planning or shipment inquiries quickly and effectively. Inventory Management Ensure accurate and up-to-date BOM and part master data in the ordering system (SAP, GMES). Release purchase orders to suppliers on a weekly basis based on the production plan and demand forecast. Monitor and analyze actual performance against the production plan and take timely corrective actions. Minimize unplanned premium freight and avoid excess or obsolete inventory through balance-out management. Perform monthly inventory closing and reconcile with system records. Maintain clear and timely communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Define target inventory levels for each part based on usage and lead time. Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without shortages. Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through alignment of physical counts and system records (SAP, GMES). Conduct inventory movement analysis to identify trends and resolve issues. Proactively manage slow-moving and obsolete stock with appropriate disposition plans. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree (4-year college) or equivalent professional experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas required: Production Planning, Materials Planning, Accounts Payable, Purchasing. Skills and Competencies Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and PowerPoint. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, GERP, MEPS). In-depth understanding of inventory control, production scheduling, and material planning processes. Ability to generate, interpret, and act on operational performance reports and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in cross-functional team settings. Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities. Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a problem-solving mindset.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment located within a manufacturing plant. Exposure to a combination of office and factory settings with occasional noise and industrial activity. Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed to support production or inventory activities. Required to wear appropriate PPE when working in designated production or warehouse areas.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25 pounds. Ability to move throughout the production floor and warehouse as needed.
