Pay Rate:

$20.00/hr (plus $1.00/hr shift differential for 2nd shift)

Position Summary:

Responsible for quality assurance and packaging of CertainTeed Corner products with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and productivity. The role requires qualification in both Operator and Tail-Off positions for a defined product set. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive team environment and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Duties:

Follow all safety procedures, checklists, and protocols. Qualified to Tail-Off production lines for SOC, 325, 450, Level line, ATOC, CAOC products. Qualified to Operate production lines for SOC, 325, Level line, 450 products. Inspect products for flaws and defects; promptly report any issues and package correctly. Maintain clean and organized production lines and floors; stock supplies for incoming shifts. Complete required paperwork and understand product specifications. Communicate production concerns and issues to supervisors and teammates. Build boxes, maintain printers, track tools, and ensure supply availability. Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and troubleshoot issues. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Set up and start production lines from idle to running state.

Other Responsibilities:

Trained in Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Use quality inspection tools to ensure product quality and reproducibility. Perform warehouse checks as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers. Manufacturing experience preferred. Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with manufacturing safety programs. Strong time management and attendance record. Commitment to facility safety and continuous learning. Ability to communicate and work within a team. Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, process improvement). Innovative problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

Long hours and night shifts may be required. Standing for extended periods. Exposure to industrial solvents, noise, and hazardous materials with PPE compliance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, reach, and perform fine manipulation.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to wear PPE as required. Physical tasks include bending, lifting, twisting, gripping, reaching, and fine motor skills. Extended standing periods are expected.
