Cook/Food Production Team Member-Sign on Bonus 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Scituate, MA 02066

Position Summary:

Full Time Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:30 pm weekends and holidays as needed. Health Care Industry and Dietary Experience Preferred. The Cook prepares and serves quality meals for patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Health care and dietary experience required

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

2+ years Health Care Industry or Food Production Quantity Cooking Adjusting recipes and cooking methods to accommodate special dietary needs (e.g., pureed food, diabetic diets). Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines. Understanding of geriatric diets is preferred. Ensuring meals are nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing. Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly with quantity cooking.

Specific Job Requirements:

Maintaining proper food storage and handling procedures. Assisting with inventory and ordering of food and supplies. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment. Following all safety and sanitation guidelines. May supervise other kitchen staff as needed. Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, guidelines, and governing functions in the post-acute care facility Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
