Production Worker 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Valdese, NC 28690 Catawba Valley Staffing in Valdese is seeking motivated individuals for a Production Associate opportunity in the Hildebran area.

Essential Job Functions:

Direct efforts to achieve a Quality product which meets customer(s) specifications. Work in a safe and productive manner. Manage Pre-Op and Clean-Up daily/weekly ensuring to use lockouts on machines that they are cleaning. Working knowledge of assembly and packaging requirements and techniques. Perform the basic preventative maintenance of the equipment being used in the work areas and perform minor maintenance to assigned equipment. Must be able to complete production paperwork as required in a timely manner. Must follow all health and safety requirements of the position. Must be able to perform all jobs assigned by the Group Leader or Supervisor. Stop production when non-conforming product is detected and to make sure that immediate actions are taken. Must wear the proper personal protective equipment required by the position. For example, ear plugs are mandatory in the picker area. All other appropriate duties as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS

Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers, material handlers, supervisors and production team leaders.

SUPERVISION

Works under the general supervision of the Machine Operator and Production Supervisor. Regular and punctual attendance 2. Ability to work as a team player. Willingness to learn how to operate all machines. Ability to assess situations and take the appropriate corrective action. Willing to learn and work on computers when necessary. Must work interactively with other department and follow company policies and procedures. Able to read, write and follow written, verbal and visual instructions 8. Able to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple corresponded. Must be able to accurately make simple mathematical computations.
