TemporaryJobDescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hours:
7:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Thursday.
Other duties may be assigned.
Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations.
Complete production work orders by following written or verbal instructions and/or sample assemblies.
Operate and tend manually controlled and/or automated manufacturing equipment/machine according to guidelines and work instructions. Activate machine/equipment to start a production cycle. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) as needed based on customer/product specifications. Feed raw material to semi-automated machines. Inspect products using measuring tools to ensure conformity to specifications. Check output for mistakes, product flaws and/or product contamination.
Test operation of machines periodically, and report issues to the Supervisor.
Maintain production records of approved and defective units or final products in accordance with work instruction or standard operating procedures. Recordkeeping done manually or by data entry, such as daily production reports, process checklists, timekeeping, scrap and reject results and/or machine time.
Maintain adequate supply of materials needed to perform tasks effectively.
Communicate with supervisor and relevant personnel on the condition of the operation/production and any unusual circumstances or issues to facilitate processes and ensure efficient operations.
Effectively clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
Actively contribute to continuous process improvement. Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities; meet training and/or certification requirements of the job, department, product or area as designated/defined in work instructions and quality standards.

Education/Experience:
Sufficient education to meet language, mathematical and reasoning ability requirements and up to and including one (1) month related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series and numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Perform the four basic arithmetic operations with coins as part of a dollar. Perform operations with units such as cup, pint, and quart; inch, foot, and yard; and ounce and pound.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations wit only occasional or no variables in or from these situations encountered on the job.
Computer Skills:
Must be computer literate; must have the basic knowledge and ability to utilize computers and related technologies effectively.
