General Laborer (Manufacturing) Associated Hardwoods, Inc. 650 North Main Street, Granite Falls, NC 28630

Job Summary:

Associated Hardwoods, Inc. is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team in Granite Falls, NC. This position plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations by assisting with various tasks such as Cutting Lumber, stacking lumber, moving materials, cleaning work areas, and performing general manufacturing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Stack and organize lumber according to size and grade specifications. Assist with loading and unloading materials manually or using equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and hazards as needed. Operate basic equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand tools, and Tape Measure) to support production flow. Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Support other departments with general tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a warehouse, lumber yard, or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.

Technical & Physical Skills:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to read Tape Measure Basic mechanical aptitude to operate simple tools and equipment safely.

Soft Skills & Work Ethic:

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Team player with the ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude. Commitment to safety and quality.

Working Conditions:

Shift Work:

May require early start times, overtime, or schedule adjustments based on production needs.

Environment:

Work is conducted in a lumber processing facility with exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

Protective Equipment:

Use of PPE (gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, etc.) is required.
