The Production Team Leader will train during the day shift and will gradually start and lead the 2nd shift.

782 Gallimore Dairy Road, Unit 1, High Point, North Carolina 27265 More about the role: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Team Leader oversees the night shift production team and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for team engagement, process optimization, health and safety, and quality assurance. Training begins on the day shift before transitioning to the night shift.
Responsibilities:
As working Team Leader, actively participate in all production activities in tandem with Production Associates, leading by example Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training and all milestones throughout the employee journey Lead and motivate night shift staff, promoting engagement and accountability. Actively participate in production and serve as backup for Operators. Manage production workflow, chemical batching, and troubleshooting. Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are met or exceeded. Administer shift documentation including payroll, performance management, and scheduling. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and track KPIs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology or related field (polymer technology/engineering a plus). Post-secondary education in logistics, manufacturing, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting. Strong coaching, problem-solving, and communication skills. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment. Comfortable using handheld scanning devices and intermediate computer applications. Forklift license and warehouse equipment training preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; role involves bending, pushing, and extended walking. Why work for us?
