General Production Worker Job Description The Production Line Assistant plays a key role in supporting the efficient and safe operation of the production line. This position is responsible for visually inspecting products, ensuring proper palletizing, assisting with quality control, feeding machines with proper material, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities Visually inspect finished products for damage or non-conforming conditions. Ensure cartons are correctly stacked and placed on pallets according to company standards. Identify and place off-quality cartons on the designated waste pallet for operator review. Assist the Operator in producing quality cartons that meet customer specifications at optimal line speeds. Report any unsafe conditions immediately to the Operator, Team Lead, or Shift Supervisor. Support clean-up and troubleshooting efforts during machine downtime. Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management. Work Environment The work environment is a large, clean, climate-controlled facility equipped with state-of-the-art production machines. Safety markers are present throughout the facility to ensure a safe working environment. The position offers multiple shifts including 1st shift (12-hour) from Monday to Friday, 6am-6pm, 1st shift (8-hour) from Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm, and 2nd shift (8-hour) from Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm with a $0.50 shift differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whitsett, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.83 – $16.83/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
