THE PATTERN AND FABRIC COORDINATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UPHOLSTERY PATTERN DEVELOPMENT AND ADJUSTMENT AS WELL AS RECEIVING AND CHECKING IN FABRIC. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE CORE REQUIREMENTS, ALONG WITH OTHER INITIATIVES AS DETERMINED BY YOUR DIRECT SUPERVISOR. JOB FUNCTION

Develop and Adjust Patterns Develop patterns for new and existing product lines
Adjust existing patterns to suit new fabrics
Advise fabric manager when large orders result in improved yield, so order quantity can be adjusted
Approve fabrics Work with fabric manager and cutting/sewing lead to approve new fabrics for use, checking style, fit, and workability with the product
Receive in fabrics from suppliers, check for quantity and quality and report discrepancies in a timely manner
Required skills Skilled commercial upholsterer
Attention to detail and pride in results
Can communicate clearly and work cooperatively with colleagues
Proactive in helping improve quality
Understands cutting and sewing functions
The essential functions of this role include: working in a smoke free environment
