Manufacturing Systems Specialist 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 235 Lea Plant Road, Waynesville, NC 28786 Under the direction of the Repackaging Operational Excellence Manager, this position provides expert technical support to operational sites ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of manufacturing systems. The role participates in the design and implementation of system projects and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion on schedule and according to specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Supports Production with daily data mining and subsequent reporting (Vorne, ERP, MasterControl, etc.) – this will produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly scorecards and reports used in Management Reviews Serves as back-up to Shift Data Entry Specialists and Repackaging Operational Excellence Manager. Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes and improve efficiency. Opportunity for supervisory function for Shift Data Entry Specialists Owner of all yield and reconciliation data providing meaningful and timely investigations and reports to management early and often Supports the training of various systems (Vorne, ERP, MasterControl) to other users such as Supervisors, Shift Coordinators, Area Managers for improved utilization of systems and their resulting data and work toward automation of key information as much as possible Point of contact for Vorne related information (barcodes, connectivity, data mining, reporting, etc.) Support implementation, training and troubleshooting with ERP upgrades to Production Floor Serve as a systems support role for MasterControl in regard to but not limited to access issues, module configuration and implementation. ERP Expertise to provide ad-hoc reporting/data mining support to Management & Production Drive and support all Lean Initiatives Supports and actively pursues the root cause of issues and drives for improvement and elimination of issues impacting production, quality, or safety Any additional functions deemed necessary for the improvement and efficiency of the company Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and all spreadsheet applications including charting, pivot tables, etc. Demonstrated acumen with systems and ability to share information and knowledge of those systems effectively Demonstrated collaboration mindset as a key support function for all operational activities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as key relationship-building Ability to pursue excellence at all levels of the organization from within their span of control Strong detail oriented and highly self-motivated Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Advanced problem solving and Analytics skills Education 2-year associate’s degree (required) Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) but will assess prior experience and skillset to offset Travel Requirements Minimal to none
