Production Associate 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Fletcher, NC 28732 Knife manufacturing facility in Fletcher is looking for a Production Associate. 1st shift: Tuesday through Friday 6:30am – 7pm ($19/hr.) OR Weekend shift: Saturday through Monday 6:30am – 7pm ($19/hr.) •Must be available to train on current 1st shift schedule which is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for the next 30-60 days until company shifts to new schedules/shifts outlined above. All About This Opportunity This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of various parts and components in a safe manner. This area serves as a throughway for such work where specific processes are performed to prepare items for specific purposes (i.e. final assembly, painting, heat treatment, etc.). This position may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime throughout the year based on show schedules and tight production deadlines•What You’ll Be Doing Tumbling (Ceramic and media of various sizes) Media Blasting (Aluminum Oxide & Glass Bead) Surface Grinding Operations & Support Blade Prep (spinning, serrating, chamfering, buffing) Cleaning & scrubbing Packaging and Shipping Prep Buffing, Polishing, Deburring Heat Treatment techniques on various materials (PM blade steels) Time Management & Organization of Parts Flow Through Work Cell What You’ll Need to Win! Knowledge and ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and mechanical drawings issued by managers and team leaders Ability to use basic processing equipment and machines as well as simple hand tools Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and tools to figure out an efficient repair solution Ability to perform all required tasks with a high level of attentiveness and discerning attention to detail given the level of quality we deliver to our customers Solid problem-solving skills Ability to work and function efficiently in a team environment and report to several levels of management
