Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Makes production schedules for the plant and reviews them with production supervisors and management in a daily production meeting. Computes the amount of finished goods required to complete customer sales orders and to maintain the correct amount of inventory on all items produced. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as FG inventory, WIP Inventory and production reports, showing the status and location of the materials. Recommends to management and production supervisors overtime in the production areas when the production goals are not met. Coordinates the making and the issuing of production jobs for the production department. Supports production and inventory indication systems, such as Kanban, on the production and shipping floor to ensure accurate communication of and adherence to the production schedule. Prepares long range schedules and capacity information reports as needed to plan production and to anticipate capacity constraints within the manufacturing processes. Prepares production summaries on a monthly basis that track production results. Suggest and record process improvements to increase productivity. Supports APQP process with PES department by making schedules for initial trials of new parts and for the ramp up before the SOP dates. Supports APQP process with PES department by making schedules for new equipment introduction and validation. Coordinates and makes schedules for the build out of obsolete parts in conjunction with purchasing, customer service, and demand planner. Interfaces with production team leaders and above to ensure clarity of schedule, follow-up and reaction to deviations from schedule, monitors actual production performance periodically throughout the day.
