Schaefer Plastics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler Assistant to help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly and on time. What You’ll Do Assist with scheduling customer orders for efficient and cost-effective production. Prepare and distribute daily production schedules and work order packages. Maintain organized records (digital and hard copy) of production work orders and inspections. Coordinate with departments including Production, Shipping, Sales, and Customer Service. Provide daily material requests to raw material handlers. Use internal IT platforms to manage documentation and data conversion. What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and time management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with multiple teams and shifting priorities. Solid data entry skills and basic proficiency in office software/tools. Ability to interpret simple instructions, memos, and production-related forms. Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in production scheduling, office coordination, or manufacturing support is a plus. Comfortable performing basic math (rates, ratios, percentages) and using data effectively. Work Environment Office-based role with regular interaction across departments.
