JOB SUMMARY

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a specific work cell or department to ensure safety, quality, and efficient production. This position supervises up to 16 team members, ensuring tasks are completed according to the production plan while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The Team Lead reports directly to the Department Supervisor and plays a key role in optimizing workflow and team performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Observe and manage the workflow within the work cell, adjusting machinery, materials, and staffing levels as needed to maintain efficiency and meet production goals.
  • Assign staff to specific work cells based on the production plan, ensuring the right tasks are delegated to the right individuals.
  • Conduct quality inspections of materials received, and parts produced within the department to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist and train Assembly Workers with machine setups and daily operations, ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Report any safety concerns, quality issues, or workflow interruptions to the Production Manager, maintaining a focus on resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize daily tasks based on production requirements, material availability, and staffing levels to meet production goals and minimize disruptions.
  • Handle variables such as staffing changes, material shortages, and equipment issues to maintain productivity.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks required for the position.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handling changing priorities.
