Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various shop tasks that support the production process, and ensure efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a versatile individual capable of handling multiple duties, including but not limited to: setup, maintenance, and operation of wire EDM and Polishing machines, piston grinding, and performing honing and filling operations for hydraulic toolholders.

Requirements:

Blueprint reading Understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances and features on finished work-piece, and to understand the sequence of operations and setup-requirements. Quality-Assurance Starts and observes machine-operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance-machining, adjusts machine controls as required. Understands operation and handling of calipers and all precision-grade gages to be used during in-process and finished inspection. Understands metric & English measurement systems. Verifies conformance of finished work-piece by checking specifications, visually inspecting, cross-referencing assembly components (if available) testing function, and signing off on manufacturing papers. Confers with supervisor, engineering or coworkers to resolve difficulties and concerns General maintenance of machine/ equipment Understands machine maintenance-schedule and performs all scheduled maintenance-intervals on machine. Installs some replacement-parts into machines, mechanisms and equipment and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. Keeps working area orderly and clean Maintains work areas in accordance with
