division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician. At our Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacturer, and ship prodcuts related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments. Some of those include Utilties, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Continuous Improvement Technician role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. WIth full time employment you are offered Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), 401K percent match plan, and vacation. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. What you’ll do: This position assists plant level Continuous Improvement programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained. This includes assisting in the scheduling of Kaizen and rapid improvement (RIE) events to drive improvements in the front-office and shop processes that will impact employee safety, productivity, product delivery performance, and cost and factory margins. This position will also assist with deploy Industry 4.0 tools in the operations with a focus on process digitalization.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Lead and support implementation of Continuous Improvement Framework Own and lead site 5S+ program, consistent of o Tracking o 5S+ checklists o Open Items Co- Lead and support Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) and Operational Assessment (OpA) action items Assist with RIE/Kaizen events comprised of multi-functional team members Own Ideas Program tracking for the facility Assist in meeting all plant Continuous Improvement objectives o Productivity improvements, cost out savings targets Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services. Will assist in the preparation of the current/future Value Stream Map creation Assist in Continuous Improvement (CI) training for existing employees and new hires during onboarding Help sustain CI culture in the plant Assisting with plant layouts as needed Assisting in lean material flow projects The implementation of visual controls throughout the facility such as but not limited to Floor marking Labeling Color coding Shadow boards Continuous Improvement boards Tier boards/ productivity metrics Establish and Update workstation risk assessment Own the Layer Process Audit and Gemba audit completion and action item tracking Conduct time studies and line balancing analysis Assist with standard work creation and deployment Assist with Industry 4.0 Initiatives, plant-wide digitalization opportunities and digital dashboard creation for shop floor.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must have High School diploma or GED from accredited institution Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience is required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
