Job Description
Molder/ Production Floater The Rubber Group 210 Fair Street, Laconia, NH 03246 The Rubber Group is looking for a Molder/Floater person. This role is on 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8 hours per day. The Molder/Floater will cross train in all areas of the production floor. The primary goal of this role is to learn all the departments and be placed where needed. The Molder/Floater is responsible for manufacturing items following the prepared schedule by meeting production standards and targets in quantity and quality to his/her best ability. Reporting deviations from standards and act according to the company safety policy and procedures.
Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Following all health and safety requirements, safety policy and company policy. Report any observed violation to the superior or hazardous situation to the Safety Committee Manufacture products on Compression Molding and Transfer molding machines to provided specification to ensure following processes to be completed on time (for example: Punching, Cleaning, Inspection, Shipping) for on time in complete shipments Ensure raw material availability of correct type for processing and feed raw material into the process setup Verify process critical machine setting and temperature are correct and follow documentation requirements Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process. Perform periodic checks on equipment, solve problems if able or report to supervisor if unable. Post processing of parts following trained techniques and quality requirements in punch presses, buffing of parts and trimming Perform Quality inspection on manufactured parts to defined and trained inspection criteria Perform visual Inspection with and without magnifying lamp Report quality issues to QC and process problems to setup personnel for immediate support Keep the workplace organized, clean and in order Clean equipment and machinery Remove and separate all scrap items from acceptable items including clear identification prior to the next following processing step Document accurately and readable process results in quantities of items acceptable and quantities of items scrap Document accurately and readable all product specific information in the provided shop floor papers Truthful and accurate electronic data entry of production related time and employee information in the MRP system Report any issues to the superior on duty or team lead in charge Run single or multiple workstations/machines as assigned by the supervisor or team lead Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thoughtful, fair, and even-handed temperament Team oriented Follow product specific quality inspection requirements Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment Ability to read, understand and follow written work instruction Ability to perform basic mathematical computation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation Ability to communicate issues Available for shift work
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School or equivalent Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial Experience operating
