  • Location:

    Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA.

  • The Plant manufactures
  • 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry, working bothcontinuous and conventional shifts. There are approximately 85employees at the Hanover location.
  • The Plant is located on Route194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, YorkPA and the Maryland border.
Position overview:

The Palletizer Operator works closely with Supervision and Qualityto ensure

  • optimum levels in Quality Inspections, Packageidentification, and Final packaging. 4/4 schedule 5pm-5am. Thehourly rate of pay starts at $21.12.
  • Duties And Responsibilities:

    Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the palletizeroperator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, thefollowing:

  • Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion ofassigned tasks Responsibility of maintaining the palletizer operation of thefood can package process with a focus on optimizing Safety,Quality, Productivity and Spoilage Responsible for the operations of one or more machines orequipment for the production of 2 piece or 3 piece steel cans
  • Ability to safely operate, identify basic mechanical problems,and the maintaining of process equipment Communicates all pertinent information between management,co-workers, and between shifts on changes to equipment, productionproblems or any other related information Assists and trains and/or coaching of all new palletizeroperators as needed or required Applies skills, methods to improve plant production Responsible in following SOP’s, Plant Rules, 6S Housekeeping,maintaining equipment and modifications of existing productionstandards to achieve optimal efficiencies Enter information into a computer to generate labels for thepallets Perform visual quality checks as required, record accuratequality records and other documentations as required Complete and/or administer necessary documentation such asmonthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting, and dataprocess control input Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned •Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform essential functions.
