Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the leadership of day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production and customer demands, and the management of exempt and non-exempt personnel in the Growth, Material Preparation and die assembly areas. Leads the manufacturing, implementation, efficiency, and effectiveness of new and existing product production. Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, responds to EHS incidents, and participates in functional department meetings. Accountable for ensuring safety, maintaining quality, and enforcing disciplinary measures. Maintains good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and local requirements. Regularly participating and leading process improvement, CAPEX, and other large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage/lead all manufacturing operations. Manage the production supervisor, area leads, and other manufacturing or technical personnel. Efficiently coordinate with all plant functions as necessary. Establishes strategic direction, department objectives and provides leadership for quality standards, production efficiency, continuous improvement, safety standards, training needs, cost reduction and employee motivation. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production cycle. Includes coordination of engineering/process improvements of production methods, tooling, equipment and product design. Support continuous improvement through 5S, waste reduction projects, EHS improvements and CAPEX process upgrades. Analyze production data to identify trends, implement efficiency measures, and drive operational excellence. Participates in self-development and training and development of others. Maintain and create work instructions for area instructions. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Technical discipline, Engineering preferred. Basic understanding of crystal growth methods and equipment preferred. 5+ years of management/supervision experience. multiple shift operations preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills using root cause analysis methods. ERP systems and work order management. Excellent communication skills ability to communicate with customers, vendors, management and coworkers. Addressing employee conflicts through well-developed interpersonal skills. Able to lead a diverse team of technicians & operations personnel and able to work well with people at all levels.
