ThePurification Manufacturing Technician I / II position will directlyenable the initial start-up phase of the Hopewell manufacturingfacility and then shift focus to hands-on execution and support ofcGMP manufacturing operations.
Facility Start-Up :
Focused on cellculture related activities required to design, build, commission,and license Client’s first biopharmaceutical plant in the UnitedStates. Essential functions of the job include but not limited to:
Design review Equipment selection, procurement and testing Protocoldevelopment and execution Acceptance testing andequipment/automation debugging Technical training Hands-On c
GMPOperations :
Focused on execution of cGMP manufacturing activitiesrequired to deliver the production plan reliably and compliantly.
Essential functions of the job include but not limited to: FollowcGMP procedures to support manufacturing execution and automatedrecipes Clean-In-Place (CIP) & Steam-In-Place (SIP) Bufferpreparation & transfers / filtration Operational and cleaning ofchromatography and filtration systems. Equipment & processtroubleshooting Deviation identification, reporting and closurecGMP procedure development and optimization
Education Required:
High school education or GED required. Or
AS/BS/BA
in sciencerelated field, biopharmaceutical or equivalent technical experiencepreferred.
Additional Skills/Attributes Required:
Evidence of goodverbal and written communication. Ability to work in fast paceddynamic environment with competing priorities. Demonstrated abilityto collaborate within and between diverse groups. Proactiveidentification and implementation of continuous improvementopportunities. Able to receive and incorporate feedback – passionfor ongoing professional development a plus. Aptitude for learningmoderately complex technical systems.
Physical Requirements :
Mustbe able to stand for long periods, up to 8 to 12 hours/day. Must beable to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, push/pull, andhandle/grip frequently. Must be able to work scheduled 40 hourswith the ability to work overtime as needed. Must be comfortable inworking in varying temperatures. Frequent lifting, pushing,pulling, and carrying. Ability to lift to 40 lbs. Regular reaching,bending, stooping, and twisting. Repetitive motion and substantialmovement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Environment requiresdedicated gowns, depending on area. Work with hazardous materialsand chemicals. Willing to work any shift.
Computer Skills:
Familiarity with computer-based systems. Word, Excel, andPowerPoint a must.
Travel:
International and domestic -periodically.
