Job Description

Hiring for Production Associates Job Description The Production Associate plays a vital role in assisting with production activities while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP plan requirements, and SQF compliance for sanitation, traceability, and quality standards. This position involves performing a range of basic responsibilities, including assembling or disassembling production lines, maintaining adequate levels of chocolate in the tanks, collaborating with team members on the production line, cleaning workstations, and conducting process monitoring. Responsibilities Follow all safety and cGMP guidelines as per the company’s Food Safety and Quality Programs. Assemble and disassemble production equipment such as extruders and enrobbers. Load raw materials, including chocolate chips and yogurt, into processing tanks. Operate flow pack machines, adjust settings for different bar sizes, and monitor performance. Place packaging materials into machines as required. Monitor the production process, adhering to production guidelines and specifications. Report any Food Quality or Food Safety issues to management or the Food Safety Committee. Communicate to supervisors or leads any deviations observed during the process, such as unusual waste, incorrect packaging, and equipment issues. Perform basic quality and testing checks, including weight reports and metal detectors. Maintain a clean workstation and production area. Report waste and fill out reports for QA checks and traceability. Essential Skills Experience with production processes and equipment. Knowledge of cGMP guidelines. Ability to operate filling machines. Understanding of quality standards and traceability. Proficiency in monitoring production of various bar sizes. Capability to document reports for QA and traceability. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. 1 year of packing work experience, preferably in a food processing facility. Employees must refrain from wearing jewelry and makeup while on duty. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
