SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
(Basic purpose of job) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This is not a warehouse position — it is a hands-on manufacturing role within a high-speed, automated production environment. Operators are responsible for running fully automated machinery, such as fillers, global shrink machines, and palletizers. Operators play a key role in ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production by inserting materials into the line, adjusting machine controls, and performing changeovers as needed. This role works closely with other departments, such as Maintenance and Quality, to ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and safety protocols are always followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate machines in accordance with the training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements. Perform machine changeovers, cleaning and set up as per SOPs. Ensure the proper area & equipment cleanliness and setup in stipulated time. Ensure line clearance before initiating manufacturing activities in each area. Receive/transfer material from/to dispensing/manufacturing storage Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as stated in the SOP before initiating process. Able to operate applicable equipment independently as per area of operation. Troubleshoot and make appropriate adjustments to equipment. Ensure adherence to quality standards during all stages of the manufacturing process. Complete manufacturing documents on time, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Responsible for training on all relevant SOPs and always maintain compliance with related SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the manufacturing process. Perform duties through the proper, safe use of equipment, according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals. Flexible to work extended hours, to achieve manufacturing schedule when needed. Should maintain discipline and comply with company policies and procedures. Should perform entire duties as communicated time to time by department management/designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or G.E.D with at least three years of work experience in repairing manufacturing or packaging equipment is a plus Flexibility for overtime when needed Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely Excellent communication skills Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds
