Job Description
Denville-based company seeks a potting/molding assistant. Monday-Thursday 630am-4pm Friday 730am-1130am Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Manufacturing- Potting / Molding Assistant Defense/Aerospace manufacturer of Cable Assemblies, Wire Harnesses and various types of electromechanical products is looking for an individual to perform potting or cable assemblies for compliance to applicable drawings. Must be mechanically inclined and willing to work with various chemicals and potting compounds. Duties to include the mounting of cable assemblies onto fixtures for potting, setting up, mixing and dispensing potting compounds, setting up ovens to required temperatures and keeping track of curing times, proper positioning of wires, cables and connector adapters. Must be able to speak and read English and interpret, Assembly Drawings, Manufacturing Procedures/Instructions, and Process Routers. Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Position is for first shift (Monday- Friday) at the company’s Denville, NJ location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read, use, and follow manufacturing procedures and assembly drawings to perform required manufacturing operations/processes
- Install cables on specified manufacturing fixtures to perform the required manufacturing processes
- Document operations/processes performed on manufacturing process routers
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate Must be able to read manufacturing procedures and associated documentation written in English Must be able to understand and effectively communicate in EnglishMust be reliable, conscientious and detail oriented Familiarity with standard power and hand tools Able to read mechanical drawings and related process documentation Must be mechanically inclined and willing to work with various chemicals and potting compounds. Must be able to stand, move around. Must be self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Must be able to speak and read English and interpret, Drawings, Manufacturing Procedures, and Process Routers.
