We are looking for a highly reliable person for the Production Assistant role to focus on hand producing our snack bars. This position will be expected to become proficient at making bars by hand with a high degree of detail, detecting inconsistencies and adjusting, and packaging bars for distribution. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Assist in the fabrication and packaging of snack bar products according to established recipes and specifications. Ensure all equipment and work areas are sanitized and maintained in compliance with industry standards. Perform basic math calculations to measure ingredients accurately for production. Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size, shape, weight and cohesiveness of each snack bar. Monitor production processes to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to streamline operations and improve efficiency within the production line. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly for resolution. Clean and sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace by following industry standards. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of food industry practices and safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in a bakery, food production or processing business is required. Prolonged standing and repetitive hand/arm motion is required, as well as some heavy lifting. Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurement of ingredients. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions closely. Work efficiently to ensure maximum output to reach daily distribution needs. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities as needed within the production schedule.
