Job Description
The Product Designer and Production Specialist is a senior-level UI/UX role that demands a unique blend of advanced design acumen, project leadership, and video content mastery. The selected candidate will drive impactful user experiences by designing intuitive interfaces, while simultaneously shaping our video presence. The department is seeking a versatile designer who thrives on multifaceted challenges and seeks to make a tangible difference.
Duties & Responsibilities
Driving the entire UI/UX design process for digital products, emphasizing user-centered design.
Creating design deliverables, conducting user research, and maintaining design systems.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment.
Acting as a liaison between design and development teams for smooth implementation.
Managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery.
Mentoring junior designers and production staff. Overseeing the Kaltura video portal, including uploads, metadata, and access.
Contributing to video project planning and ensuring brand and accessibility compliance.
Staying current with video production trends.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and 2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications. Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years). Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience. 3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or 4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Requirements:
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, and accessibility standards.
Expertise in video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
Knowledge of web and mobile design trends and best practices.
Strong knowledge of Kaltura video platform.
Understanding of content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to translate complex ideas into user-friendly designs and compelling video content.
Analytical mindset for interpreting user feedback and video performance metrics.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach.
Years of Experience:
Five to eight years as a UI/UX/Product Design lead/ Video Production professional Portfolio/samples required
