As McConway is the original designers of the first standard automatic coupler, continued innovation and craftsmanship have and has led to a product line that includes every ARR approved coupler as well as custom coupler solutions, which are all proudly cast in the US. McConway & Torley is currently searching for Ladle Operator. As a Ladle Operator, you will assist the ladle man to meet ladle availability.
Location:
Pittsburgh, PA Shift:
2nd shift, (6pm-2am) What you’ll do: Assists ladle man to meet ladle availability (turnaround time of ladle) ensures no delay in ladle delivery for next tap Assists with tapping of heat (stabilizing the ladle and adding insulate material) Assists with proper placement, pouring and retrieval of keel blocks Completes application and timing of hot top Assists hot metal crane man with hooking and unhooking ladles Assists with setting of stopper rods What you’ll need: A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment Must be able to work any shift and overtime hours High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
Working Conditions:
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
